A bilingual church and missions training center.
Petra International's stateside office is located at our missions training center in the heart of the city on 7th Avenue, at Petra Bible Church, Bozeman. Launched in 2018, Petra Bozeman is the first truly multicultural, multinational church in Montana, with people from twelve nations and counting.
Bozeman is home to the Petra School of Ministry and Petra Wilderness International, where kingdom workers are trained and sent to the nations.

NICARAGUA · WHERE IT BEGAN
Seven churches led by national pastors.
Petra Bible Church Managua was launched in 2005 and has grown to more than 300 members. From it, God has multiplied a movement: two churches in Managua and one each in Matagalpa, Chinandega, Balgue, and Merida on Ometepe Island, every one led by Nicaraguan pastors.
La Roca Camp and Farm on Ometepe Island supports the Petra ministries and hosts national and international teams, training, and retreats. A pastoral training institute now equips leaders in four regions of the country.
Nicaragua is the poorest country in Central America, and most churches teach that salvation is earned by good deeds. The need for churches centered on the supremacy of Jesus Christ is urgent.

A bridge between Central and South America.
The President of the Petra Board and former elder of Petra Managua now leads the work in Costa Rica, where Petra International established official non-profit status in 2023. Costa Rica is considered one of the most secular countries in Latin America; Catholicism is the state religion, but fewer than half of Catholics describe themselves as practicing.
Each August, roughly a quarter of the nation walks to the Cartago Basilica, many on their knees, to ask the Virgin Mary for a miracle. The need for the truth of the gospel is real. Our goal is to develop a ministry team here that can help advance the works in Nicaragua and South America and open the door to future church plants.

REACHING DEEPER INTO SOUTH AMERICA
God is opening doors for Christ-centered church planting in South America. The leaders trained in Nicaragua and the ministry team forming in Costa Rica are the foundation for carrying the gospel to South America.
Vision 2030 is focused on developing a new church planting movement in Cusco, Peru, once the capital of the Incan Empire. Petra is working to build the infrastructure to plant Christ-centered churches deeper into South America, including in Buenos Aires and El Calafate, Argentina. Pray for divine contacts and gospel opportunities.
