Parent By Faith, Not By Fear
Updated: 2 days ago
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7

To every parent reading this — especially you, moms — this is for you.
One of the most powerful things you can do for your children has nothing to do with the
school they attend, the activities they’re enrolled in, or the opportunities you provide. It
comes down to this: are you parenting by faith, or by fear?
If your heart isn’t anchored in a genuine, living faith in Jesus Christ — if you don’t truly
believe in Him, love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind, and actively walk with Him
each day — then fear will quietly take the wheel. And fear is a poor guide for raising
children.
Here’s the sobering truth: your kids are watching everything. They are learning
not just from what you say, but from how you live. Your faith — or the absence of it — is
being absorbed by little eyes and ears every single day.
Everything in this world will eventually fade. The trends, the trophies, the bank
accounts, the accolades — all of it will pass away. But Jesus Christ remains forever.
That means the greatest investment you can make in your children is to be a person of
genuine, active faith yourself.
Trust Him out loud. Love Him openly. Let your children see you pray, lean on Scripture,
and choose faith when life gets hard. Your actions will always speak louder than your
words ever could.
Today's Challenge
Ask yourself honestly — am I leading my family from a place of faith, or fear? Then
take one intentional step today to deepen your own walk with Christ.
A Prayer for Parents
Lord, give us the courage to parent by faith. May our children see You clearly in the
way we live. Amen.
